The World Bank’s first early childhood development project in the Pacific Islands region began in the Republic of the Marshall Islands in 2019. The project is designed to support early childhood development in areas such as reproductive, maternal, newborn and child health and nutrition services, with a focus on the first 1,000 days of life. The project will also promote primary school readiness by enhancing support to parents and increasing access to early learning services.
