One in three Cambodian children under age five are stunted. Childhood malnutrition and micronutrient deficiencies, some of which are passed on by a child’s own undernourished mother, are also a concern. To reduce stunting, all children must receive nutritious food, quality, affordable health care, access to safe drinking water and sanitation, adequate family income, and nurturing care.
