As violent conflict surges, refugee crises are growing more protracted, with almost 10 million refugees displaced for over 5 years – the highest since the Cold War. And 85% of refugees are hosted in developing countries that are struggling to deliver services for host communities. This is a long-term challenge, and we need to respond differently. Host governments are leading the way to help both refugees and hosts thrive, as the international community comes together to forge a better way to share this responsibility.
