The project, supported by the Japan Social Development Fund (JSDF) aims to address the psychosocial health impact of the Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) outbreak at both the individual and community levels, while also building long-term resilience and psychosocial health. The project's technical design emphasizes the role of strengthening protective factors as a means of promoting resilience, achieving good mental health and developmentaloutcomes despite exposure to significant adversity. These positive outcomes happen not just because of an individual’s personal attributes but are also influenced by broader interactions with family, peers, school/work, community resources, and social structures and institutions.
