The Balkh Dairy Union factory is one of 145 local enterprises that have received support from the Afghanistan New Market Development Project. The factory has expanded to new markets in Balkh province, increased production of dairy, and resolved packaging issues. This World Bank-supported project helps local small and medium enterprises standardize their products, improve their revenues, and generate jobs.
