Born out of a devastating war, Bangladesh was shattered in 1971. Forty five years later the country has transformed itself into a model of human and economic development. Its success in improving the standards of living of its people is rooted in a resilient population, strong partnerships between the government, NGO’s and the private sector. Bangladesh holds lessons for other emerging economies and this year, the World Bank Group will celebrate End Poverty Day in Bangladesh. #ProsperBangladesh #AgaoBangladesh
