One year ago today, a series of earthquakes hit Nepal, killing nearly 9,000 people and pushing 1 million Nepalis back into poverty. Reconstruction is now underway in rural districts most affected by the disaster. So far, 600 families in Singati Bazaar in the Dolakha district have received their first installment of 50,000 Rupees each to rebuild their homes and their lives.
