The Global Donor Working Group on Land will provide an overview of ongoing work to develop operational guidance for the private sector to implement the Voluntary Guidelines for the Responsible Governance of Tenure of Land, Forests and Fisheries (VGGT), focusing on the synergies of the multiple processes underway. This session aims at promoting coordination of the different initiatives towards a joint and single set of guidance for the private sector.The Global Donor Working Group on Land was established in the summer of 2013 to improve global coordination on land and provide stronger support to lessons learning on the international level. The Group includes 23 members, amongst bi-and multilateral donor agencies and UN bodies, and is hosted by the Global Donor Platform for Rural Development. Its current chair is held by Germany’s Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
