Nepal is building a system for social protection with an aim to make the country's safety nets for the poor and vulnerable more efficient and inclusive. The Rapid Social Response Program (RSR), World Bank and United Nations Capital Development Fund (UNCDF) are helping lay the bricks of the new system by funding a pilot which tests new ways of identifying the poor and knitting together the country's many cash transfer schemes for reduced cost and improved delivery.
