High-priced food is linked to an obesity epidemic in developing countries as poor people increasing rely on cheap, high-calorie food products, according to the World Bank's Food Price Watch. The quarterly report shows that while food prices declined over a six-month period, they still hover near all-time highs set in August 2012.
