NEW YORK, September 20 —Today, World Bank Group President David Malpass met with King Abdullah II ibn Al-Hussein of Jordan.
President Malpass and King Abdullah exchanged views on regional integration and partnerships to address food security and energy issues. President Malpass and King Abdullah reiterated support for country platforms to engage with development actors in an effective manner.
President Malpass and King Abdullah also discussed Jordan’s reform efforts and the importance of continued positive momentum on sectoral reforms and efficiency measures for long-term sustainability of the energy sector. King Abdullah discussed Jordan's prioritizing the implementation of reforms, including on the administrative front, to support modernization.
