LIMA, October 9, 2015— World Bank Group President Jim Yong Kim today congratulated the Tunisian National Dialogue Quartet on being awarded the 2015 Nobel Prize for Peace in Stockholm, Sweden:
"The Tunisian National Dialogue Quartet embodied the spirit of the Nobel Peace Prize through their tireless efforts to promote a more inclusive society and advance the full potential of all Tunisians after the Jasmine Revolution of 2011.
Tunisia demonstrated to the world the value of building institutions that allow the broadest participation of society, showing that people can come together to resolve political challenges through compromise and consensus. The National Dialogue Quartet was instrumental to this remarkable achievement.
The Nobel Peace Prize is a fitting recognition of the social and political accomplishments of the Quartet and the Tunisian people.”
