WASHINGTON, April 7, 2020 - The World Bank’s Board of Executive Directors today approved the following project:
PERU – Centralized Emergency Response System Project
- IBRD Credit: US $36.32 million equivalent
- Terms: Maturity = 8 years, Grace = 4 years
- Project ID: P170658
- Project Description: The project aims at providing a more efficient response to emergencies and urgencies for the population of Lima Metropolitan area and Callao. It will finance key activities including the construction and implementation of a 911 Center, the deployment of an integrated 911 platform (including software, hardware, digital infrastructure and telecommunication networks), response protocols to increase coordination, equipment for interconnecting video cameras of the National Policy with the 911 platform, and training of 911 operators, among others.
