On 5 March 2015, the World Bank Group Geneva Office held a seminar hosted by the WTO on trade, agriculture and development. The keynote speaker was Will Martin, Research Manager, Agriculture and Rural Development, World Bank Group, with Alan Matthews, Professor at Trinity College as discussant. Selina Jackson, World Bank Group Special Representative to the UN and WTO moderated, and Evan Rogerson, Director of the WTO Agriculture and Commodities Division, delivered opening remarks. The presentation and subsequent discussion focused on the nature of agricultural trade today and the ongoing relevance of the Doha issues to poverty and development.
