Rural Restructuring Agency under the Ministry of Agriculture and Water Resources of Uzbekistan (RRA) was awarded a CQE Century International Quality ERA Award in the Gold category by Business Initiative Directions organization (BID). The event took place during the 12th Century International Quality ERA Convention held in Geneva, Switzerland. The award is a part of the annual program of B.I.D., designed to recognize the prestige of the outstanding companies, organizations, and businessmen in the business world. The Ceremony was attended by companies and organizations from 53 countries, together with leaders from different businesses, professionals in economics and arts, quality experts and academics.
The Rural Restructuring Agency was established in 1998 with the main objective to manage the investment projects in agricultural sector. It is the main agency implementing the projects financed by the World Bank and other International Financial Institutions. It has a Project Management Office in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan, with trained and professional staff and branches in 8 project regions of the country.
At the International Quality Conventions 2010 Rural Restructuring Agency found itself in a very good company of the leading businesses in the world acknowledged with the award. Among them are: India's Reliance Industries & Reliance Energy; Indian Oil Corporation Limited; Korea Electric Power and Beijing COFCO Plaza Development. Other firms worthy of mention include Turner Construction (USA); Plamex-Plantronics (USA); and giant from USA-Mexico, Franklin Electric.
