The private sector is the engine for economic growth – fueling job creation, investment and innovation. However, the World Bank’s new flagship report, Business Ready (B-READY), reveals that despite the great need for economic growth, the world is not business ready. Countries have a long journey ahead to improve their regulations and services to energize the private sector.

Replacing the former Doing Business report, B-READY offers an improved and more comprehensive look at the global business landscape, analyzing 1,200 indicators that track the lifecycle of firms. It assesses 10 key areas of the business environment, from business location and financial services to taxation, international trade, market competition, business insolvency and more. The report serves as a compass for evidence-based policy reforms that can transform Indonesia’s business environment and help achieve the country’s economic growth targets.

What are the bright spots and challenges of Indonesia’s business environment, according to the B-READY report? How can the country unlock its full economic potential through efficient policies and services for the private sector? Join us at this event to gain insights from prominent economists, policymakers, and business leaders.
