The World Bank, in partnership with the Ministry of National Development Planning (Bappenas), are pleased to host the “Indonesia Social Protection Technical Seminar 2024: Exploring Strategies for an Inclusive, Resilient, and Productive Indonesia Emas” from October 2-3, 2024 in Jakarta, Indonesia. This event is supported by the Australian Government through the Australia-World Bank Indonesia Partnership (ABIP).

The Indonesia Social Protection Technical Seminar 2024 will bring together technical practitioners to discuss social protection challenges and priorities for Indonesia. It will provide a space for capacity building and knowledge-sharing as Indonesia embarks on a new phase of its development trajectory towards its vision for a Golden Indonesia 2045 as a sovereign, advanced, and sustainable archipelago state.

Specifically, the forum will provide a space to:

  • Share evidence and knowledge on critical Social Protection challenges, important for building resilience, and fostering inclusive growth in Indonesia. 

  • Convene thought leaders to discuss knowledge and innovations to address Indonesia’s social protection challenges and priorities. 

  • Hear Government perspectives and build capacity on priority social protection topics.
