The World Bank and the OSCE Programme Office in Dushanbe are pleased to announce a call for applications for the Central Asia & Türkiye Youth Talks to be held on August 12-16, 2024, in Istanbul, Türkiye.
The Central Asia & Türkiye Youth Talks is an exchange and learning event that will bring together 30 young people from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Tajikistan, Türkiye, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan. The event will provide a discussion platform for young people to share their views, ideas, and achievements and foster mutual learning and development in their communities.
Participants of the event will discuss topics of regional and global significance and the role young people can play in such areas as digitalization and exploring ways in which digital technologies can contribute to sustainable and resilient development; social entrepreneurship and innovation, facilitation of effective solutions; and accelerating gender equality to end poverty on a liveable planet, considering the gender-climate-jobs nexus, as well as strengthening the youth dialogue and development of networking platforms for the future development.
Profile of participants:
We look forward to your application if you are:
- 18-25 years old and are from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Tajikistan, Türkiye, Turkmenistan or Uzbekistan;
- an active and engaged member of your community and have an interest in Central Asian (youth) regional cooperation;
- have experience or can demonstrate high level of interest in the areas of digitalization, social entrepreneurship and gender development;
- are an active and engaged member of your local communities and have interest in promoting youth regional co-operation within Central Asia and Türkiye;
- fluent in English;
- eager to share your experience in promoting the role of young people at different levels and learn from others.

Practical and financial conditions:
The Central Asia & Türkiye Youth Talks will take place in Istanbul, Türkiye.
- Accommodation, meals, and transport will be covered by the organizers;
- International travel will be covered by the organizers. However, travel to and from departing cities in their countries is the participants’ own responsibility;
- Participants should be available for the whole period of the event.
Working Language:
The working language of the event will be English.
