May 16, 2024
Washington DC

Bruno Crépon, Professor at ENSAE and École Polytechnique and co-Scientific Director of the Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab Middle East and North Africa (J-PAL MENA), delivers a presentation on evidence from randomized evaluations on how to improve agency and empowerment of girls and women in the MENA region. The webinar incorporates knowledge from J-PAL's global evidence base as well as a specific focus on MENA related to adolescent programs, bundled interventions, and freedom of movement. This presentation is part of the knowledge agenda of the MENA Gender Innovation Lab (MENAGIL). MENAGIL is working with J-PAL MENA to leverage rigorous evidence and inform the design and scale up of World Bank operations to close gender gaps in the MENA region. This is the second of a series of events.
