Climate challenges are diverse, requiring tailored approaches. The World Bank has pioneered groundbreaking financing mechanisms in Brazil, Chile and Uruguay which would be replicated globally, demonstrating the power of aligning finance with the unique profiles of development challenges. In Uruguay, a transformative collaboration created new approach to use concessional funding to incentivize long-term, ambitious climate goals, setting a global precedent. Meanwhile, in Brazil, a US$500 million project is leveraging sustainability-linked finance to catalyze emission reductions and mobilize private capital, charting a course for nature-based solutions. In Chile, the WB approved the first project to promote green hydrogen production investments, helping to mobilize other multilateral development partners to build a $1 billion Green Hydrogen Facility
