Mark your calendars for the 9th SDMX Global Conference on Statistical Data and Metadata Exchange (SDMX), taking place from October 29th to November 2nd, 2023, in the vibrant city of Manama, Bahrain. This bi-annual event for the official statistics community worldwide to share information on recent and upcoming SDMX developments.

The theme for this conference is Empowering Data Communities, and is co-organised by the SDMX Sponsors and the Bahrain Information and eGovernment Authority (IGA) with support of ESCWA and Banca d ’Italia.

Virtual Hackathon:

Exciting news! The SDMX Sponsors and Bahrain  eGovernment Authority are hosting a virtual hackathon, and we invite all to participate. The hackathon challenge is to develop a dashboard generator, which will read the dashboard specifications and obtain data from SDMX API to generate an interactive dashboard. The winner gets a Wall Plaque and a Certificate. In addition, if the winner is eligible for an ILO contract, you will get a contract with ILO for 10,000 CHF. If you are a developer, data scientist, statistician, student and interested to collaborate on official statistics and SDMX use cases, then why not take part in the SDMX  Hackathon for a chance to win a prize.
