This seminar, as part of the Poverty & Equity Global Practice’s series on identifying a research agenda for welfare measurement led by the Global Solutions Group on Data For Policy, will focus on a recent paper which synthesizes a body of research on new methodologies and empirical applications that measure or probe multidimensional poverty. Topics range from gendered and intra-household analyses, to geospatially merged poverty and environment metrics, to microsimulation of shocks, to translation models, child poverty, and the STATA MPITB toolbox underlying global MPI computations.
