Join the World Bank at COP27 for a side event on how to enhance the integrity in carbon markets through the Climate Warehouse End-to-End Digital Infrastructure. A panel of experts will share their insights and lessons learned from the testing and simulation phase of the CADT and discuss the role of infrastructure in Article 6 of the Paris Agreement.
Improving integrity is key for scaling-up carbon markets. The session will showcase the World Bank’s Climate Warehouse, a program which prototypes, tests, and develops digital infrastructure to foster greater transparency, trust, and integrity across carbon markets.
The event will provide highlights on the recently launched Climate Action Data Trust (CADT), a global platform that aims to connect carbon markets around the world. This blockchain-based platform aggregates and harmonizes all carbon credit data from project registries to facilitate transparent accounting.
