On October 6, 2022, 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM, the World Bank will launch a new report titled, “A New Dawn for Global Value Chain Participation in the Philippines.” The report explores the prospects of increasing the country’s global value chain (GVC) participation in a post–COVID-19 world. The forum will begin with a keynote address by Secretary Alfredo Pascual of the Philippine Department of Trade and Industry, followed by a presentation of the World Bank team on the main findings of the report. The panel includes representatives from government, the private sector, and academe. An open forum will commence shortly after the discussion to tackle related key issues that is welcome to both face-to-face and online participants.
