Countries, as well as Multilateral Development Banks, international development agencies, and other donors have been prioritizing digitization and allocating significant funds toward digital investments in low- and middle-income countries. Despite the clear benefits of embedding digital technologies into society and the economy, these development programs have not placed the necessary attention (or de-risking mechanisms) on the cyber risks stemming from the misuse of ICT.
Join an esteemed panel of experts from the World Bank, USAID, and EBRD, to discuss why cybersecurity and digital resilience should be incorporated into all digital investments and how to build the necessary de-risking mechanisms throughout the digital investment lifecycle. The panel will also discuss ways to foster greater collaboration and cooperation among funders, implementers, and recipient countries in order to ensure more resilient and successful outcomes.
This DigiTalk event will feature a presentation of the report "Incorporating Cyber Capacity into the Digital Development Agenda” commissioned by the Global Forum for Cyber Expertise (GFCE) with the financial support of the World Bank’s Digital Development Partnership. Download the report here.
