Round table on exploring opportunities for creation and monetization of carbon units generated from GHG emission reduction achieved in projects improving energy efficiency of multifamily apartment buildings in Russian cities was conducted on September 21, 2021.
The results of the research of international practice of verification and certification of GHG emission reduction by residential buildings with the subsequent placement of the obtained carbon units on independent international trading platforms or in national registries of accounting for carbon units were presented within the framework of the round table.
As part of the research, a detailed assessment of the applicability of international experience was carried out on the example of GHG emission reduction after energy-efficient repairs of multifamily apartment buildings in Russia.
