The Pakistan Development Policy Series 2021 is a series of policy talks inviting discussion and debate on key reform areas critical to Pakistan’s economic, social and development growth. Focusing on girls’ and boys’ education, the fourth webinar invites leading specialists and representatives from government, academia, and civil society to explore how Pakistan can better address the constraints to girls’ and boys’ education to guarantee free access to pre-tertiary education.
The webinar will begin with a panel debate, followed by a Q&A session with the audience. Our panelists include Mr. Imran Sikandar Baloch, Secretary Planning and Development, Punjab; Dr. Quratulain Bakhteari, Social entrepreneur and community organizer known for founding the Institute for Development Studies and Practices, Balochistan; Dr. Tahir Andrabi, Dean, School of Education, LUMS, and Professor of Economics at Pomona College; Dr. Baela Raza, Chief Executive Officer at Idara-e-Taleem-o-Aagahi (ITA); and Dr. Cristian Aedo, Practice Manager for the South Asia Region, Education Global Practice, World Bank.
Mr. Najy Benhassine, World Bank Country Director for Pakistan will introduce the session. The panel discussion will be moderated by Mr. Mosharraf Zaidi, Development Practitioner, Columnist and Senior Fellow at Tabadlab.
