As cases of COVID-19 reach an all-time high, vaccines are emerging as the most powerful tool that the world has to protect lives and livelihoods, and bring an end to the pandemics. However, the campaigns that will be needed to vaccinate enough people to interrupt transmission will be unprecedented in their speed, size, and logistical complexity. To help MENA countries plan their programs, the World Bank is holding a series of workshops addressing key components of vaccine strategy, including general considerations, financing, costing, supply chain logistics, administration, and distribution. The workshops will feature subject matter experts and senior country officials who will share their nation’s approach to addressing these challenges.
