MeasureDev 2020 will be held online via Zoom on Tuesday, March 31st, from 9 AM – 2:30 PM PDT / 12 PM – 5:30 PM EDT. Instructions for accessing the conference agenda and Zoom links, along with a final agenda, will be provided to registered participants in the coming days.
Sessions will highlight how sources of “big” data–including call detail records, satellites, and remote sensing networks–are changing the landscape of global development, while hybrid approaches that enrich big data with survey data enable exciting new analytical opportunities. A keynote by CEGA Faculty co-Director Joshua Blumenstock will showcase opportunities to stitch together large-scale behavioral datasets with ground-truth survey data to better understand human and economic development. For researchers whose field work has been impacted by the spread of COVID-19, we hope the event will spark ideas and conversation regarding alternatives to traditional field-based data collection.
A list of confirmed speakers for the online conference and a link to register is available on our event webpage. Please register ASAP so that we can be sure to send you the full agenda and appropriate Zoom links before the event starts.
