The World Bank Treasury, Public Debt Management Advisory, organized its pilot workshop on “Sovereign Asset and Liability Management Workshop”, between February 18-22, 2019 in Jakarta, Indonesia. This workshop is developed and delivered under the Government Debt and Risk Management (GDRM) Program supported by the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) of Switzerland.
The five day, intensive workshop brought together 28 practitioners from finance ministries as well as central banks who have direct involvement in managing assets and/or liabilities.
Using the sovereign asset and liability management (SALM) framework, the workshop aimed to increase participants’ expertise in identifying, measuring and mitigating different types of risks, affecting both sides of the sovereign balance sheet.
