The World Bank is inviting representatives of African universities and research institutions to Tokyo and Kyoto from October 22 to 26. These are all leading universities and institutions in Africa, participating in the Africa Center of Excellence (ACE) and Partnership for skills in Applied Sciences, Engineering and Technology (PASET) projects supported by the World Bank. During the tour, the participants will be learning from Japan’s experiences in promoting academic-private sector partnerships and pursuing discussions with Japanese organizations for possible collaboration in joint research and training of young researchers.
Taking advantage of this opportunity, a public forum “Science, Technology and Innovation (STI) and Partnerships of Japanese and African Universities” will be organized at 1:30pm-5:30pm on Monday, October 22, at the World Bank Tokyo Office. English and Japanese simultaneous interpretation will be provided.
