The 11th Public Procurement Knowledge Exchange Forum will be hosted this year by the State Procurement Agency of Georgia. The Forum will be held in Batumi, Georgia from 9-12 June, 2015. It will be co-sponsored by the Asian Development Bank (ADB), European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) and the World Bank, in cooperation with the European Investment Bank (EIB), SIGMA and the OECD.
Around 100 people are expected to attend the Forum. Participants will include about 50 high level government officials responsible for public procurement in 25 countries (Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, FYR Macedonia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Moldova, Montenegro, Poland, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovenia, Tajikistan, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, Uzbekistan and Mongolia) and representatives from the ADB, IsDB, EBRD, SIGMA, EIB, OECD, WB and others.
The Forum will provide an opportunity to public procurement institutions and other stakeholders who have the oversight control function from participating countries to share their experiences and practices in public procurement reforms, with a special focus on procurement oversight and monitoring. The Forum will also help to promote and foster regional and cross regional cooperation in public procurement, and good governance. It will give the participants the opportunity to explore and strengthen networking in this area and to seek active involvement and support of international and bilateral donors to further improve service delivery to citizens through efficient procurement implementation.
