In 2018, the World Bank Group launched a Country Partnership Framework (CPF) for Romania that covers the period of five years from July 2018 to July 2023. This strategy outlines how the organization can support the country and its people by focusing on building institutions fit for a prosperous and inclusive Romania in order to reduce poverty and boost shared prosperity.
About the Performance and Learning Review
In 2021 - at the mid-point of the CPF implementation - the World Bank Group carried out a Performance and Learning Review (PLR) of the Framework to better understand how to adjust its engagement in Romania to evolving challenges and priorities.
Consultations played an important part in this process and included a set of online questionnaires focused on key priorities at the national level.
Following the completion of the review, the PLR confirmed the strategic direction of the CPF, and highlighted adjustments needed to better support Romania for a green, resilient and inclusive recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic. The PLR can be accessed here.
