As part of International Women’s Day 2022 and in alignment with the World Bank’s Accelerate Equality Initiative, the Pakistan Gender and Social Inclusion Platform team and the Poverty and Equity Global Practice Pakistan team are pleased to announce the publication of two technical notes:

The analysis is based on data from the World Bank’s Peshawar Urban Household Survey (PUHS, 2019). Findings presented in the notes offer a deeper understanding of the trends, challenges, and opportunities for women’s participation in the workforce as well as experiences regarding sexual harassment in public spaces particularly in the context of Peshawar.

These technical notes are a part of the South Asia Gender team's campaign, Breaking Barriers: Building Better Opportunities for Women in South Asia, to celebrate International Women's Day 2022. This campaign is part of the World Bank Group’s yearlong Gender Equality and Development +10: Accelerate Equality initiative.
