The report “Ecuador: Resilient Growth for a Future” identifies some of the challenges the country faces in order to grow sustainably.
In addition to the need to control the recent upsurge in insecurity and crime, this report argues that unlocking the potential of Ecuador's private sector and guiding it to achieve high-income country status will require sustainable actions in three areas:
- managing economic resources in a responsible and balanced manner,
- fostering the growth and competitiveness of enterprises, and unleashing the potential of three sectors that are
- unlocking the potential of three sectors that, with the implementation of reforms and agreements, have significant growth potential: agriculture, formal mining and tourism.
