Technology Adoption by Firms in Croatia

The World Bank is implementing a diagnostic to measure the level of technology adoption in Croatian firms and to identify barriers and challenges for these firms in adopting and upgrading technologies. As part of the diagnostic, the World Bank is implementing a national survey to measure technology use by companies in Croatia and benchmark them with other countries in the adoption of Industry 4.0 technologies. The information collected will help improve public policies and programs to increase the technological capabilities and competitiveness of Croatian firms.

This survey is part of a global project led by the World Bank's Finance, Competitiveness and Innovation (FCI) team—the Firm Adoption of Technology (FAT) project—and has already been implemented in 15 other countries around the world.

The survey will be implemented by a team of Croatian researchers between September 2022 and March 2023, and the World Bank guarantees the anonymity and confidentiality of all information collected. The average time to complete the survey is 40 minutes.

This is an important opportunity to express your opinion on this topic, so please participate if your company has been contacted. The results of the survey will provide valuable inputs to design more effective policies to support the private sector in Croatia.
