Buildings account for 34% of global CO2 emissions, making them a central battleground in our fight against climate change. The challenge is particularly urgent in rapidly urbanizing regions, where unprecedented construction activity risks locking in decades of excessive energy consumption.

In the global fight against climate change, buildings stand as both a significant contributor to greenhouse gas (GHGs) emissions and a promising solution.  Buildings account for 37% of energy-related emissions globally, driven by burgeoning growth in built-up floor area. In fact, the world adds the equivalent of a new Paris every five days – that is 6 billion sq meters of new floor area every year!
