The World Bank Group (WBG) Office in Geneva spearheads the institution’s engagement and relations with the United Nations agencies and other International Organizations headquartered in Geneva; the World Trade Organization and other Geneva-based trade organizations; the Government of Switzerland and other key Swiss and international stakeholders.
The office houses staff from various WBG units, namely Health Nutrition and Population; Macroeconomics, Trade and Investment; Development Economics; Fragile, Conflict & Violence; and the International Finance Corporation (IFC). Priority areas of engagement include collaboration across the humanitarian-development-peace nexus, forced displacement, migration, jobs and social protection, digital development and sustainable finance, climate action and gender equality as cross-cutting themes.
