Development Policy Group

The Development Policy Group (DECDP) plays a central role in managing DEC's operational review process and supporting key corporate initiatives, including the World Bank Group's evolution process and the new Knowledge Compact.

Research Dissemination

Central to DECDP's mandate is the effective dissemination of new research findings. It oversees the Policy Research Working Papers series, fostering innovative economic analysis; as well as administering funding for policy research through its Knowledge for Change Program.

Knowledge Dissemination and Events

DECDP coordinates high-profile events such as lectures, conferences, and the renowned Annual Bank Conference on Development Economics. It recently organized the inaugural Growth Academy, a two-week collaborative initiative with the University of Chicago's Becker Friedman Institute for Economics. These events aim to advance knowledge among researchers and policymakers while fostering innovative solutions for global growth challenges.

Policy Implementation and Collaboration

DECDP oversees the implementation of priorities identified by the Senior Vice President and Chief Economist. It works to strengthen DEC’s relations with the regions and verticals.
