We look forward to your participation in this discussion showcasing the effective partnerships multiple MDBs have formed to harmonize and improve their internal sanctions systems. This session will focus on the importance of global partnerships in designing and implementing adjudicatory mechanisms to review allegations of sanctionable misconduct. It will further address how the MDBs uphold the principles of fairness, transparency, and independence in holding accountable those entities and individuals involved in these practices. Participants will learn about the evolution of the MDBs Sanctions Systems to ensure their processes and outcomes remain at the forefront of global enforcement regimes, promoting accountability and integrity within MDB-financed projects. The session will begin with a discussion on the role of the MDB sanctions community and provide an overview of efforts over the last twenty years to promote harmonization among the systems. The dialogue will then shift to the current landscape and lessons drawn for future innovation.
