Sydney Gourlay is an Economist for the Living Standards Measurement Study (LSMS), the World Bank’s flagship household survey program housed at the Development Data Group, and the 50x2030 Initiative. Her primary area of research is methodological validation with a particular focus on agriculture, including land area measurement, land tenure, and soil health.
Sydney holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder and an M.A. and Ph.D. in Economics from American University in Washington, DC.
