Shijie Shi is a Data Scientist with the World Bank's Prospects Group, specializing in economic modeling and international macroeconomics. She contributes to the World Bank’s flagship report, Global Economic Prospects, as well as to analytical projects on economic growth, debt, and productivity. Before joining the World Bank, she served as Assistant Director for the Graduate Program in Economic Development at Vanderbilt University. Shijie holds a B.A. in Agricultural Economics from Renmin University of China and an M.A. in Economics from Vanderbilt University.
