Shelton Kanyanda, is a Senior Economist in the Development Data Group of the World Bank and a member of the LSMS-ISA team. He is an expert in integrated household surveys, panel surveys and national statistical systems, including statistics strategic planning. He has over 16 years of experience implementing panel surveys in Malawi. He has also worked as a Regional Programme Coordinator for Africa and the Middle East with PARIS21 supporting statistics capacity building and development partners coordination. Prior to joining PARIS21, Shelton held the position of chief statistician at the National Statistics Office in Malawi working on household surveys and industrial statistics. He obtained his Master of Arts Degree in Economics from the University of East Anglia in the United Kingdom.
