Ms. Sakun Lambasara serves as the Alternate Executive Director of the Office of Executive Director of the World Bank Group of Southeast Asia since July 2023, representing Brunei Darussalam, Fiji, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, Nepal, Singapore, Thailand, Tonga, and Vietnam.
Prior to this position, Ms. Lambasara started her career with the Ministry of Finance of Thailand in 2001. She served in various capacities in the Thai Ministry of Finance, including as Senior Expert for Specialized Financial Institutions Development, Senior Economist for Specialized Financial Institution Strategy and Development, Head of International Financial Cooperation for America and Pacific, and Economist in the Bureau of International Economic Policy.
Ms. Lambasara has a BSc in Business Economics with Computing from University of Surrey, UK and MSc in Analysis Design and Management of Information Systems from London School of Economics and Political Science, London, UK.
