Mr. Richard Abdulnour, a Lebanese national, joined the World Bank in 2011 as a Young Professional. He has held various positions at the World Bank leading investment projects and analytical work in the water sector in Latin America and the Middle East and North Africa regions. His most recent assignment was Senior Water Specialist in the West and Central Africa region. During this period, Richard also served as Special Assistant to the regional Vice-President for MENA from 2017 to 2020.
Prior to joining the World Bank, Richard worked with private consulting and engineering firms advising public water institutions and utilities and supporting water and wastewater projects in Iraq and in the Palestinian Territories.
Richard lived and studied in Lebanon before he went on to graduate in engineering in France and the United States.
