Raian Divanbeigi is a Senior Economist with the World Bank’s Social Protection and Jobs Global Practice. He has worked for over 15 years as a program manager, practitioner, and policy analyst on a range of sector and economic policy issues in developing countries. As an advisor at ActionAid International he contributed to the Policy Coherence for Development agenda by assessing synergies and trade-offs between policies affecting development outcomes in target populations. He has brought insights from this experience to his work at the World Bank, where he has contributed to and led a variety of analytical programs focusing on private sector development and labor markets. He holds B.A. degree in Economic Development and International Cooperation and a M.Sc. degree in Development Economics from the University of Florence (2006 and 2009), and diplomas on Poverty and Inequality measurement from Oxford University (2008) and the University of Maryland (2015).
