Senior Transport Specialist

Noro Rabefaniraka is the Senior Transport Specialist at the World Bank Mongolia Office. Her main task is to oversee all World Bank-supported transport investment projects and analytical works related to Mongolia. She has about 20 years of experience in more than 20 countries within the World Bank, mainly in the Africa Region and the Pacific Islands. She extensively led Transport projects preparation and implementation in most subsectors (roads, railways, aviation, and maritime).

Before joining the Bank, she worked in the aviation sector, holding various managerial positions within the national airline, then at the Civil Aviation Authority as Director of air transportation in Madagascar. Noro holds an MBA from Concordia University in Montreal (Canada) and a Masters's degree in Law and International Commerce from the University of Aix-Marseille III (France).

Noro is married and has two children (a daughter and a son). She speaks English, French, and Malagasy fluently and has basic notions of German.
