Ms. Lonkhululeko Magagula, an Eswatini national, currently serves as the Alternate Executive Director for Africa Group I Constituency (Botswana, Burundi, Eritrea, Eswatini, Ethiopia, The Gambia, Kenya, Lesotho, Liberia, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Rwanda, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Zimbabwe) at the World Bank Group, Washington, D.C. since November 2024. She also served the same Constituency Office as an Advisor and Senior Advisor for over five years since 2018. Prior to joining the WBG Board, she served for 28 years in different capacities as an Economist, responsible for Strategic Planning, Economic Management and Budgeting, Economic Policy formulation, implementation, monitoring and evaluation in the Ministries of Economic Planning and Development and Commerce, Industry and Trade, in the Government of Swaziland (now Eswatini).
