Kwanpadh is the Senior Country Officer for World Bank Thailand. He plays a key role in the management of the relationships with the Thai government and the implementation of the World Bank’s Partnership Framework for Thailand. He leads and supports dialogues between the World Bank teams and the government of Thailand on various topics including urban infrastructure finance, energy transition, climate finance, water resource management, innovation policy, digital development as well as business and investment climate. Before joining the World Bank Bangkok Office, he was the Regional Adviser in the UNDP Bangkok Regional Hub, managing a regional program to promote business integrity and a fair business environment in ASEAN countries, as well as supporting countries in the Asia-Pacific region on transparency, integrity as well as broader governance issues. Prior to that he was with UNDP in Afghanistan and Myanmar. He has more than 17 years of experience in public policy advisory services and graduated from the London School of Economics with a master’s degree from University of St. Andrews in Management, Economics, and International Relations. He was also a Research Fellow in the Public Policy and Policy Analysis at Maastricht University in the Netherlands.
