Jose Luis Diaz Sanchez is the World Bank Senior Country Economist for Mongolia.
Mr. Diaz Sanchez, a Peruvian national, has over 12 years of experience in macroeconomics and fiscal analysis working at the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), Sub-Saharan Africa (AFR), and (most recently) East Asia Pacific (EAP) regions.
He was also part of the World Bank’s Young Professional Program (YPP) 2016 cohort. Mr. Diaz Sanchez holds a Ph.D. in economics from Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne University/Paris School of Economics and has published several papers in peer-reviewed international journals on macro-fiscal issues.
